GHOST ORCHESTRA (2022)

Ghost Orchestra v.1.0 is an interactive computer-vision based application to perform cello, viola and violin sample instruments through a performer’s improvised movements in real-time. sound is received through a DIY 7-channel surround sound system, enveloping the dancer in a dynamic field of sonic texture. multi-modal expressions emerge through channelled forms and heightened somatic awareness towards subtle sensation & internal impulse (London | UK)

4QUARTERS (2022)

Assisted by a mobile phone and computer vision : 4Quarters v.1.0 records, processes and diffuses vocal fragments into a quadrophonic system. physical movement subtly shifts vocal samples in each quarter of a room, relative to the player’s orientation in space. this was made for the ritual act of calling in the quarters : to conjure an interactive field of elemental vocalisations. a palpable sonic presence within which to devotionally improvise with live processed electric bass guitar (London | UK)

Utilising sigilisation to create a choreo-musical-narrative score, each Labour catalysed a dialogue between musicians, performers and audience to facilitate an immersive performance of embodied astrological myth.
